After due consideration the Committee of Grendon Village Hall have agreed that in the best interests of all villagers Thursday’s AGM and cheese and wine evening will be cancelled.
Copies of the Chairman’s and Treasurer’s Reports can be found on the GVH website http://www.grendonvillagehall.org If any residents have anything they would like to ask the committee then please contact one of the members; all details are on the website. All current committee members are willing to continue to stand for another year; if any other residents would like to join the committee please let us know.
Regarding hiring and using the village hall, we propose to continue bookings for the time being but understand if hirers wish to cancel. We will take added precautions by providing paper towels to replace the existing towels. We will empty waste bins after each hiring, and check soap supplies are adequate. We will ask all hirers to wash their hands thoroughly on entering the building and recommend they wash them again on vacating the building. Any queries regarding bookings should be made to Pauline Higgs (paulinehiggs9@gmail.com)
Regarding our monthly coffee mornings, a decision will be made whether to cancel in due course. While we are concerned about the spread of the virus, especially among our older residents, we are also very conscious of the importance to many villagers of socializing.
Thank you all for your understanding and keep safe
Angie Hillier, GVHC Secretary
